Kundiawa Gembolg MP appeals to his people to refrain from the current crisis in the country

I call on all Kundiawa-Gembogl people in Port Moresby and around the country to rise above the current crisis engulfing us today.
We are peace loving people so we must refrain from the looting and destruction that is going on around us.
Politics in this country is played by a few people and because we are unhappy with the way they govern us, we should not take our anger and frustrations on businesses and the general public.
Those who own these businesses worked very hard to establish the entities that are being looted, destroyed and burnt today.
We must resort to established processes and procedures to address issues and refrain from unlawful acts to address our concerns.
Whatever the reason that sparked off the protest by the disciplinary forces can be addressed by the appropriate authorities. The businesses have nothing to do with this.
Let’s leave the businesses alone.
To my people in Kundiawa-Gembogl, we have to respect the small private sector in town. These businesses have committed their time and energy to make Kundiawa their home, they believe in Kundiawa and Simbu and we owe them the respect.
People are losing their lives in Port Moresby and Lae. As the destruction and looting continues to spread through the country, more lives could be lost.
This is totally unnecessary and we do not want to see this happening in Kundiawa town.
I call on the police to keep watch over the situation on town and ensure that the rule of law is maintained.
We are a resilient people and we will overcome this problem.
Thank you all
HON. MUGUWA DILU. MP
Vice Minister Assisting the Prime Minister of Constitutional Matters.
