THE SP PNG Hunters are ready to take on Wynnum Manly Seagulls in the round one of Hostplus Cup this Saturday at the Santos National Football Stadium (NFS).
Meanwhile, Hunters Head Coach Paul Aiton expressed his excitement about the boys for giving their best from the pre-season to finally making it into the team.
“We are excited for the first game as we have been training really well,” Aiton said.
He said the Wynnum Manly Seagulls are good and the boys are prepared to have a tough match with them.
“They are good as they have been playing long time so we are expecting a though game with them.
“I am sure they are expecting the same from us too,” Aiton said.
When asked about the four debutants and their status, the Coach said they have proven themselves throughout the pre-season, worked hard and have earned the spots.
Aiton said the boys are excited to play in front of their families this weekend by giving their best performance.
The Coach said he has seen massive improvements for the few who have lost their weight.
In terms of skills, Aiton said the boys have them all, which he cannot deny.
On behalf of his squad, the Hunters Head Coach welcomes rugby fans in Port Moresby to come by and watch their team ‘Hunters’ game at 3pm.
