SP Brewery donates K20,000 for cyclone disaster relief in ENB, Bougainville

South Pacific Brewery (SP Brewery) has donated a total of K20,000 to support disaster relief efforts in East New Britain and the Autonomous Region of Bougainville (AROB) after the devastation caused by Cyclone Maila.

The amount was equally allocated to the East New Britain provincial disaster office (K10,000), and the Autonomous Region of Bougainville disaster office (K10,000).

SP Brewery Corporate Affairs Manager John Nilkare said the company is pleased to support communities during times of hardship..

“We recognize the significant challenges faced by families and communities following this devastating tropical cyclone, and we are pleased to provide much ‑needed assistance where possible, supporting recovery efforts to help restore basic services and livelihood,” Mr Nilkare said.

He commended the work of local authorities and response teams.

“We acknowledge and commend the Provincial Disaster Committees in both provinces for their work in supporting affected communities,” Mr Nilkare said.
