PRIME Minister James Marape has announced that Minister for Coffee William Bando will transition to the Migration portfolio as part of changes to Cabinet responsibilities.
Mr Bando, who has been responsible for the Coffee portfolio, will now lead the Migration Ministry, with the government expressing confidence in his ability to take on the new role.
The Prime Minister acknowledged Mr Bando’s contribution to the coffee sector and thanked stakeholders within the coffee industry and migration sector for their continued support.
The appointment forms part of the government’s broader effort to strengthen leadership across key ministries and ensure effective delivery of services.
Prime Minister Marape said the changes reflect the government’s commitment to improving coordination and accountability while addressing national priorities.
