Digicel Pacific today announced the appointment of Hannah Chong to its Board of Directors, succeeding Oliver Camplin-Warner, who will transition from the Board following a significant period of contribution, helping shape and strengthen the business.

Hannah brings more than 20 years of experience across telecommunications, engineering, and technology strategy, with leadership roles spanning Australia, New Zealand, and Asia.

She currently serves as Executive for Network Strategy and Commercial Engineering at Telstra, where she leads investment planning, network economics and modeling, spectrum and standards, and technology strategy.

Her appointment reflects Digicel Pacific’s continued focus on strengthening technical capability and strategic insight at the board level.

Hannah said she was excited to join the Digicel Pacific Board and contribute to its next phase of growth.

“The Pacific presents a unique set of opportunities and challenges for telecommunications, particularly as demand for connectivity continues to grow.

“I’m looking forward to bringing my experience in network strategy and investment across APAC to support Digicel Pacific’s continued growth and impact across the region.”

Digicel Pacific Chair, Michael Ackland, welcomed Hannah’s appointment, noting the depth of technical expertise she brings.

“Hannah brings a strong mix of technical depth and commercial expertise, with experience across multiple markets.

“Her perspective will be a valuable addition to the board as we continue to evolve and invest in our networks across the Pacific.”

Mr Ackland also thanked Olly for the important role he has played in shaping the Telstra–Digicel Pacific partnership.

“From the outset, Olly was deeply inspired by the impact Digicel Pacific has across the region – from connecting communities to the life-changing work of its Foundation.

“He co-led the acquisition in 2022 and the business through its first year, with a focus on protecting and growing that impact.

“His leadership, commitment, and genuine care for Digicel Pacific’s people and the region have been instrumental in building the partnership and impact the business has today,” Mr. Ackland said.
