The Papua New Guinea Rugby Football League (PNGRFL) is pleased to announce that internationally renowned rugby league coach Tony Smith will be in Papua New Guinea to attend the upcoming Amazing Round, adding further prestige to one of the competition’s premier showcase events. Tony Smith is one of rugby league’s most accomplished and respected coaches, boasting more than two decades of experience at both club and international levels. The Australian born mentor enjoyed a successful playing career before transitioning into coaching, where he guided Leeds Rhinos to multiple Super League premierships and led Warrington Wolves through one of the most successful periods in the club’s history.
Smith has also coached the England and Great Britain national teams, earning a reputation for his strong leadership, player development expertise, and innovative approach to the game. Widely regarded as one of the sport’s leading high-performance coaches, Smith continues to contribute significantly to rugby league through his wealth of experience and commitment to excellence.
