THE SP PNG Hunters front-rower Epel Kapinias has unfortunately suffered what looks to be a serious knee injury during his preseason training opportunity with the Dolphins NRL franchise.
Kapinias will undergo surgery in Brisbane next week where the full extent of the injury will be uncovered.
The Dolphins NRL and SP PNG Hunters medical staff will work closely together following his surgery to make sure Kapinias makes a full recovery and returns to play.
A further update will be provided once the full extent of the injury is known.
