He said the funds will be deposited into district account to continue to support SME program in the Moresby North-East electorate.

Moresby North-East MP Kaupa thanked Paita for his presence and conveyed his words of appreciation to the Prime Minister James Marape and his government for the support towards the completion of the project, and also thanked the government for another commitment of K3 million to support the SME sector in his electorate.

“Marape Government believed in SME, as it is the way to ‘Take Back PNG’ and that is why they have responded to my request to build this market and continue to support SME in the district,” he added.

Mr. Kaupa urged the people of his electorate to embrace the service and work together to boost SME in the district so that it will improve their living standard in the city.

“Everybody must participate in the economic sector because no one will look after you and your families.”
