MOROBE Governor Ginson Saonu has presented K500, 000 cheque to Kabwum High School to build a new large conference hall to cater for delegates for the ELC- PNG National Women’s Conference to be hosted by the school in September this year.

Governor Saonu presented the cheque to the school authorities in the presence of ELC- PNG executives at Ampo Headquarters last Saturday.

The support was part of the Morobe Provincial Government’s focus to strengthen the Government Church Partnership Program in the province.

The funding support will help to construct a new hall and later will be converted into a multi-purpose building to cater for the students learning after the National Women’s Conference.

Saonu said it was his priority to see where public funds are used meaningfully to cater for many people at one time.

“The funding will go towards supporting the work of the church and at the same time assist the school to have a multipurpose hall to cater for students learning,” the governor said.

Governor Saonu reiterated that the funding will help to promote church, education, province and leadership as well and the purpose to see the support grow in a bigger way even Kabwum district.

“Funding must be given to where it satisfies the interest of a lot of people so they can be satisfied in their endeavors in any certain activity.”

The Governor said his government is keen to identify more of such areas to tap into to support during this term of Government.

He said it is very important to support the work of Women in the province because women are natural managers of their households and families.
