KSPA commits to empower women SME

THE Koiari Local Level Government Special Purpose Authority (KLLGSPA) has made a commitment to empower womens’ group in the SME space.

KLLGSPA chairman Paul Noel and the authority’s program manager Charlie Ealu has endorsed the KLLGSPA’ support to assist women groups in the area to earn economic confidence to sustain their family livelihood.

This was revealed during the presentation of K20, 000 towards two women group association in the Koiari LLG constituent this week.

“This event today is to provide funding support to women’s group in the Sogeri plateau.

“Last year, when we launched the Maninumu women’s group, we made some commitment to support the group. We are here today to deliver to our commitment to support the association to help our mothers find economic independence through our development package fund.

“Also on that note, KSPA is also honoured to assist the Sogeri Floriculture Association.”

The two women group each received K10, 000.

Mr Ealu further stressed that the authority will increase funding going into the future.

KSPA chairman Paul Noe stressed the function of the authority that is responsible to deliver assistance for all key sector agencies in the Koiari LLG constituent. 

Mr Noe said the authority remain devoted to deliver services to education, health, church and social development to the entire community of Koiari LLG.

Koiari LLG president Willie Wavi thanked the KSPA in delivering its community development engagement through this funding.

He said the KLLG will support the KSPA functions and deliver services to key sector agencies to bring meaning development in Koiari.
