TRUKAI Industries donated 50 bags of rice and 50 bags of flour to Cheshire Disability Services last Friday under the Red Feather Fundraiser initiative, reaffirming its commitment to supporting community organisations.
The donation was officially handed over at Cheshire Homes in Hohola, highlighting the importance of private-sector partnerships in supporting essential services for people living with disabilities.
Trukai Industries Brand Manager, Mr. Matthew Tomala, said the company was proud to continue its long-standing partnership with Cheshire.
“We are proud once again to support this cause. Cheshire Disability Services has played a vital role in supporting persons with disabilities, and we look forward to strengthening this partnership with regular monthly or quarterly contributions,” he said.
He also noted Trukai’s recent expansion into flour production, alongside its well-established rice distribution, reinforcing the company’s commitment to meeting community needs.
Cheshire Disability Services General Manager, Mr. Gerald Bengesser, welcomed the donation, saying it would directly benefit residents and families.
“Because of this faithful partnership, we have been able to increase our intake, welcoming 10 to 11 more people into our programs. These donations are vital in helping us feed our community and families,” Bengesser said.
The Red Feather Fundraiser continues to mobilize resources for urgent community needs, with Trukai’s contribution reinforcing the value of sustained collaboration between businesses and service organisations.
