SUSPECTS alleged to have involved in the counterfeit soap saga in Lae, Morobe were finally brought into police custody for questioning this evening.
The media personnel conveyed around since this morning to have a chance to interview the suspects following their arrest today by the police.
Suspects were brought into the customs office this morning, however, the media personnel who showed up at the customs office were not allowed to take pictures.
The suspects believed to be part of Golden Centre shop in Lae’s main market were then escorted by police from customs area to the shopping centre.
Police then brought the suspects into to police custody for further investigations.
Police in Lae are still after the customs and the suspects to ensure details of the allegations are verified and if the suspects are found to have sufficient evidences for court to deal with them, then this should be done accordingly.
