Holy Spirit Primary school gets new water tanks

HOLY Spirit Primary School has recently boosted its water storage capacity by acquiring two tanks, each with a substantial 9500-litre capacity.

The generous donation was made by the Madang Town Mayor’s office, with Mayor Peter Yalsy Masia personally presenting the tanks to Francis Arigini, the headmaster of Madang Urban Ward 3 School, last week.

Expressing gratitude upon receiving the donation, Arigini thanked Masia and outlined the detrimental impact of water disruptions on classes in 2023.

He emphasized on Holy Spirit Primary School’s significant role as the largest feeder school for Tusbab Secondary and advocated for its potential transition into a secondary school in the future.

Arigini highlighted the brand-new assurance of a reliable water supply, ensuring uninterrupted classes at Holy Spirit Primary School. Notably, World Vision, a non-governmental organization, is actively supporting this water storage project.

In addition to the water tanks, the commitment to Holy Spirit Primary School extends beyond this initiative.
Mayor Masia and Ward 3 member Desmond Mapai pledged ongoing support, with plans for more projects throughout the year.

Masia affirmed: “Under our community engagement programme, my office has supported sports, youths, women, churches, and schools for the betterment of the community and citizens.”
