Good morning all compatriots, going down to Australia for a State visit. Today and tomorrow I will be hosted in Canberra on our country’s behalf. I am on the road promoting our national interest as evident in ground breaking contacts and economic earnings we making for our country.
Just yesterday in returned from a PNG first where our national interest to earn from forest conservation is heard and supported with an initial France government support to almost K400million in grant. This will be the start of us mobilizing private sector and bilateral money for forest conservation.
I anticipate an upgraded PNG Australian relationship in this important trip to Australia including more PNG study and work opportunity in Australia as well as bio security clearance, and greater police and judiciary support . A plus would be an urgent upgrade of infrastructure and training capacity of our Bomana police training to take 1000 student capacity.
I have been also told that next year February, PNG PM has been invited to address Australian Parliament as a sign of mutual reciprocal respect.
Work never stops. I know today the supreme courts will hand down the decision on his Supreme Court reference but what ever the outcome is I am at total peace that when I have life left on my elected office tenure , I must work non stop for my country.
May God forever bless PNG and those who work hard for PNG. Have hope and faith we shall prosper !
