K450, 000 tuition fee for UoG Lufa students

Member for Lufa and Minister for Environment, Conservation and Climate Change, Hon. Simo Kilepa made the funding available through the Lufa Tertiary School Fee Assistance Scheme initiated by the Lufa DDA.

District School Fee Assistance Coordinator Samson Robin and the Lufa District Electoral team were at the UoG campus to present the cheque to UoG school administration.

Minister Kilepa said the presentation signals the rollout of the scheme to eligible Lufa students studying at tertiary institutions throughout PNG who have applied for the support at the start of 2024.

He said under the scheme, the 156 Lufa students attending the University of Goroka will be allocated K3, 000 each towards their tuition fees.

Following recent resolution passed by Lufa DDA, an individual postgraduate and undergraduate student will be assisted with K3, 000 while each student attending colleges and Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) institutions receives K2000 and K1000 respectively.
