New high school opens in Kerowagi

THE Member representing Kerowagi, Francis Kikin Siune, has recently celebrated the grand opening of the newly-established Bignal Junior High School in the heart of Kerowagi District.

During the school’s inauguration, Siune emphasised the paramount importance of education as the key to our future.

He appealed the community of Kerowagi to prioritise their children’s education.

“Parents must wholeheartedly advocate for their children’s educational advancement,” he said.
He highlighted that the destiny of Kerowagi rests upon the shoulders of these promising scholars.

The MP expressed his gratitude to various dignitaries who graced the event, including Education Minister Jimmy Urgo, Education Secretary Dr. Uke Kombra, Simbu Governor Noah Kool, and other esteemed guests.

Siune also extended his heartfelt thanks to Jerry Bau, the contractor responsible for the school’s construction, and the local community for their invaluable contributions towards the successful completion of this educational institution.

He thanked Urgo his donation of K500,000.00 and also acknowledged Kool’s substantial contribution of K200,000.00 towards the development of human resources in the country.

Minister Urgo assured the district of continued support from the Department of Education, emphasizing their commitment to aiding Kerowagi in its pursuit of education excellence, including support for E-learning and EQTV initiatives.

Governor Kool lauded MP Siune’s remarkable achievements, highlighting his exceptional dedication and impact, especially considering that he is a first-time MP.
